Bill Hirons created the concept for the band iteration of Kalien Stark. He is disabled and with little in the way of community and/or resources. The band is designed with an 'open door policy' in place, wherin anyone may contribute to a Kalien Stark recording and thus be part of the band. Preferably disabled musicians or artists.
Touring in particular is a problem for those with disabilities and while Bill could play a show here and there, a full tour is out of the question in his current state. Therefore, it is his wish that the band tour with a fluid lineup of musicians. Anyone who has contributed to a Kalien Stark recording (or commits to one) may perform as a member during a Kalien Stark show in their area. Their own band/project would be given first shot at supporting acts. In this way, those who cannot afford to tour either financially or physically may play with an established band (Kalien Stark) as it comes through their area and get exposure. Additionally, Stage Musicians and Studio Musicians are encouraged to contribute and thus build their OWN name (contributors to KS songs get songwriting credits) rather than nameless playing on other peoples recordings/tours.
