The app will ask about your internet connection type, device brand, device color, and if it has a fingerprint scanner. Only the color will be asked again every time you open the app. The main menu is pretty bland as it only features a customizable theme and five buttons with outdated-looking icons. How To Use displays your settings and instructions on how to set up scan cycles for the app. Lock Screen contains the lock screen option setting, which is a measly checkbox for enabling it.

i'm using the biometric prompt in order to authenticate clients on my app. The problem i'm getting is this: after i use a wrong fingerprint for 5 times, i get the ERR_LOCKOUT that locks the API for 30 seconds. After that, i get the lockout error for all the time, even if i'm just trying to create the biometric prompt info without using the finger to authenticate. How can i make the app more stable? Do i need to use an handler for those 30 seconds or is there another way?

The method employs the KeyguardManager application programming interface and AccessibilityEvent, an Android system-level event that provides information about changes in the user interface to assess the screen and keyguard status. Keyguard in Android is a system component responsible for managing device security, such as screen lock and authentication mechanisms.

The method is said to give those behind the malware two advantages: the ability to facilitate the theft of PINs, passwords or graphical keys through keylogging functionalities by bypassing biometric data, and the ability to unlock devices using previously stolen PINs or passwords.

Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank is a fun app that gives you a creative way of locking and securing your device. With this app, you can select the best screen lock that would suit your tastes and to make things better, it comes along with a variety of screen backgrounds and wallpapers. From patterns, to codes, and passwords, you can rest assured that your device is safe from other people.

While this app offers lots of ways to lock your phone, Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank does not really make your device capable of fingerprint scanning. Just as its name suggests, the app is meant for pranking and misleading other people that your device can only be accessed by scanning your registered fingerprint. There is nothing to worry about though because despite being merely a fingerprinting simulator, it features a bunch of other device lock screen options such as pins, passwords, and patterns, which are all customizable. These other lock options act like secondary security measures that back up your fingerprint simulator to give others the impression that your device is under strict and really complex security protocol. They can throw off and discourage any potential threats from people who would like to invade your privacy.

Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank is more than just a security tool. It also makes your phone look extra fabulous with its available wallpapers and screensavers. Users can you to add a firefly effect no matter which background you choose. Adding fireflies will give your screen that much-needed glow and ethereal look. That is to say that there are also backgrounds that are already animated and some even come with their own sounds and music! As mentioned, your overall lock screen is customizable so feel free to choose which lock would best work for you and which background image goes best with it. Font style can be changed too so you can adjust it to a font that you can easily read.

Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank is a nice and convenient combination of wallpapers and security locks. All of the background images are in a high-quality definition that will surely be a perfect fit for your device screen. You also do not have to worry about missing important messages and calls because your notification alerts will still be displayed even when the app is in use.

The easiest way to lock apps and files with your fingerprint is by using a third-party app. One of the most popular and trusted ones is AppLock. Grab it from the Google Play Store and set it up. Keep reading to learn how to do this.

AppLock also has a neat feature that allows you to lock and access files using your fingerprint reader. The Vault feature can hide away photos, videos, audio, random files, and even APK files. The app will move the file to its own protected folders and keep it away from other apps.

Whenever I try to have Norton Password Manager fill in a password on chrome on my Android phone, it prompts me to confirm my identity by using a fingerprint. The fingerprint reader on my phone rarely works, so this makes the password manager unusable for the purpose. I have set up a pin, but Norton Password Manager insists on a fingerprint. I have completely deleted the Norton Password data and cache from the machine and set it up again, but it still insists on the fingerprint. How do I get it to just prompt for the pin?

There have been countless times I'll get a notification and accidentally almost hitting one of the auto-reply functions. It would be good to "lock" the replies until you've entered a pin or fingerprint to access Teams (just like we do for banking apps, and other apps with secured information).

I have been using the lock screen pattern for a little over a year now and I always remembered it so it was no biggie. Today, literally out of nowhere, my phone asks me to enter a password. I have no idea why it asked me this, so I tried entering a variety of passwords. All it does is lock the phone for 30 seconds before I can try entering another password once I've had too many tries.

I have no idea what password it wants from me, I only have so many and I tried all of them. It says: "Use password after restart (before I restarted it said Use password to unlock screen), Your password contains at least 4 characters, including at least 1 letter." What password?! See, that's why I hate installing updates, this is just bull*****. I also tried to unlock my phone using Find My Phone and it does not work as it is not connected to the network (I tried restarting it before and I guess that screwed me now). I honestly don't even know if a factory reset would work at this stage, since it does not show any notifications either (apart from: Phone restarted, Unlock your phone to get app notifications).

Today all of a sudden my phone locks me out and is asking for a password. I had no idea what password it wanted, then I read something about a password set up in settings and I remembered I set up a password in settings for my outlook email, I tried that password and my phone immediately unlocked and functioned normally again.

Kevin B - thank you for the above. I set up Outlook email on my new S22 ultra this week so will bear it in mind when mine next locks up. I've had this problem since I used a train charge socket last November (irrelevant but it never happened to me prior to then). I had a galaxy S10 then. Now got a new S22 ultra and sim but it still continually locks me out, won't recognise any password, and a relative has to re-set the password for me remotely. Ridiculous situation. Are Samsung looking at this?

Hello guys, I have a problem logging in to DFINITY via my phone.

If I log in via laptop (I can use phone verification, fingerprint)

If I want to log in by phone (I only have options with a security key)

I know it should work through fingerprint as well. Do you know where the problem may be?

my phone is Xiami Mi Note 10, Android 11, MIUI Global 12.5.5

screenshot: it is in slovak language, but first options - bluethoot security key,

second option - security key with NFC,

3.option - USB security key.

The fourth option should be a fingerprint? but it missing

Currently with a Samsung Galaxy S8, but I believe this is common to other devices, I can setup fingerprint unlock which requires a password when the device starts up or if I fail to scan my finger correctly a few times.

A somewhat silly scenario to illustrate the need: suppose I fall asleep on the train, I don't want anyone to be able to scan my finger and unlock my phone. I still want the comfort of unlocking the phone with my finger while knowing that after a while it will lock itself and require a password.

Following in iOS 11's footsteps, Android 9.0 Pie will include a security feature that lets you immediately disable the fingerprint scanner as well as extended Smart Lock features. After initiating the feature, you will be required to insert your PIN, pattern, or password before any other unlock methods will work again.

This is a nice addition to Android since law enforcement officials, muggers, and other would-be assailants can force you or trick you into to unlocking your smartphone with your fingerprint, face, or voice. Or, someone with a similar face or voice can unlock your phone without your biometric signature. However, when it comes to law enforcement, they cannot legally make you enter a pattern, PIN, or password due to 5th Amendment rights.

Apple's version requires you to either press two buttons together for a few seconds to trigger its lockdown mode (on newer iPhones) or click one button five times in a row (on older iPhones). Google's version is also very easy to trigger, however, it's not automatically enabled by default in Android Pie like Apple's is in iOS 11.

To unlock this new security feature in Android 9.0 on your Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, or Pixel 2 XL (the process is similar for partnered devices that can run Android Pie), you just go to "Security & location" in your Settings, then tap "Lock screen preferences" under Device security. Next, just make sure to toggle on "Show lockdown option," and you're all set. If you don't see this option, it's probably because you chose a swipe screen lock instead of a pattern, PIN, or password. 2351a5e196
