Shades of Blue (2017)
Fast-paced rhythmic fun for Trumpet and Electronics. Concept inspired by "Can You Crack It?" by Benjamin Dean Taylor. This was my first piece for solo instrument and electronics, so I knew I wanted something fast and flashy. Can you keep up? Difficulty Intermediate-Advanced ~ 6'15"
Dancing Lines (2022)
This piece for solo cello is about conveying a dance-like pulse through groupings of two and three eighth-notes. The idea was to create this pulse that goes throughout the whole piece, never dying out or slowing down. There are moments where the intensity will deescalate, but the pulses will remain in the same tempo. The middle section takes the melody presented at the beginning and scrambles it up, using it to create harmony from combining the different lines, or turning the line on its side. Difficulty Advanced ~ 8'15"
Reediculous Multiphonics (2021)
This piece for solo oboe is about exploring the possibiblities on the instrument. I decided to specifically explore multiphonics and the possibilities of playing on the reed. The first movement is on the reed alone. The second movement uses multiphonics that create a chorale at the end. I would recommend using two different reeds for this piece. Difficulty Advanced ~10'
I love to tell How Jesus Paid it All (2019)
