ABUBAKR JAMAL (he/him) is a student from Tamil Nadu doing his PhD on Critical Pedagogy and Climate Justice in Malaysia. He writes spoken-word and beat poetry about his Sufi beliefs, transnational positionality, and experiences as an Indian Muslim. His style is inspired by a variety of hip-hop and folk artists, especially Yasiin Bey, Leonard Cohen, and Bruce Springsteen (who is the GOAT btw).
