The Panahon ng Pagkilos: Philippine Climate Resilience Project (PCRP) is a flagship program implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the KALAHI-CIDSS Program, aimed at strengthening the capacity of poor and vulnerable communities to anticipate, adapt to, and recover from the impacts of climate change and disasters. Using a community-driven development approach, PCRP supports the planning, financing, and implementation of climate-resilient infrastructure and social investments informed by hazard and risk assessments. By integrating climate and disaster risk considerations into local development processes and empowering communities to lead decision-making, the project promotes inclusive, sustainable, and climate-resilient development outcomes in high-risk areas.
The KALAHI-CIDSS Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay (KKB) Cash-For-Work Program (CFWP) is a cash support in exchange for the agreed community work/service/task rendered. It provides a short—term intervention through temporary employment or a targeted cash transfer for college graduates/students and families affected by disasters and those belonging to economically poor and vulnerable communities and sectors, such as but not limited to poor and transient poor, children, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), indigenous peoples, and older persons.
The following are the project beneficiaries of the project:
SUC - New College Graduates belonging to economically vulnerable and poor communities, as endorsed by the identified Schools, Universities, and Colleges (SUCs).
PWD - Families belonging to economically poor or vulnerable communities.
The Kaunlaran at Kapangyarihan sa Barangay Community-Driven Development (KKB-CDD) project is a community-driven development initiative focused on enhancing the quality of life for its beneficiaries by empowering them to actively participate in local governance and develop the skills necessary to design, implement, and manage poverty-reduction projects. Through participatory planning and social preparation, communities select, propose, and plan projects at the barangay or inter-barangay level, which may include small-scale infrastructure, as well as social and economic activities. The overall goal is to reduce poverty by strengthening community involvement and capacity-building.
