Now completing his third year leading the Kalaheo Mustangs, Head Coach Jaymason Lee has solidified his reputation as a transformative leader in Hawaii high school football. A former standout quarterback at Alabama A&M University, where he earned numerous honors and set school records, Coach Lee brings a dynamic blend of high-level playing experience and a proven track record of offensive innovation. Since taking the helm in March 2023, he has focused on cultivating a strong team culture grounded in core values, managing all aspects of the varsity program while diligently building a capable coaching staff. His efforts have resulted in a significant increase in the football roster, demonstrating his unique ability to inspire and recruit student-athletes within the Kailua community.

The 2025 season marked a historic turning point for the program, as Coach Lee led the Mustangs to a 7-1 regular-season record—the school's best performance in 15 years. Under his guidance, Kalaheo finished as the #2 seed in Division 2, leading the division in nearly every offensive category. This success secured a second consecutive playoff berth, a remarkable achievement in just his third year as Head Coach. This consistent excellence is a hallmark of Lee’s career; as an Offensive Coordinator at Moanalua, Campbell, and St. Francis, he repeatedly led high-scoring units to championships and playoff appearances, including a perfect 9-0 season at St. Francis.

Coach Lee's commitment extends far beyond the high school field. As the CEO and Founder of Champions Academy Inc., a non-profit providing free football clinics and mentorship, he demonstrates a deep-seated desire to develop well-rounded individuals. His work coordinating travel teams and college visits further highlights his dedication to the long-term success of his players. Under Coach Jaymason Lee, Kalaheo Football has evolved into a program built on a foundation of strong leadership, offensive dominance, and a clear vision for sustained achievement within the vibrant Hawaii high school football landscape.
