Established in 1909, the Japanese Student Association (JSA) at the University of Washington is a student organization that promotes both Japanese and American culture.
We host cultural events throughout the school year for anyone passionate about Japan and Japanese culture. Please stop by our table at Red Square on weekdays from 10:30 AM to 14:20 PM for more information or check out our Facebook and Instagram pages linked below.
Become a JSA member! Pay a mere fee of $5 for the whole year and get:
a cute membership card,
discounts on tickets to our events,
discounts on select restaurants and shops on the Ave including Boba Up, Mee Sum Pastry, and many more (refer to our Instagram story highlights titled "DISCOUNTS" to get a full list)
Come stop by our table at Red Square to get your membership card!
There are currently 48 JSA officers which include the President, Treasurer, Secretary, and 5 subgroups: External, Internal, PR, Cultural, and Outreach. The Outreach Team consists of 9 members, and we are responsible for organizing Kaiwa Table, recruiting volunteers for our bigger events, and setting up bonding events for officers. Come meet us at Kaiwa Table!
If you are interested in becoming an officer, stay tuned for our recruitment season during autumn and spring quarters!
