Why Health Services Management
At the start of my freshmen year I was unsure of what major I wanted to choose, I knew that I wanted to work in healthcare, I was just unsure of which field of healthcare. I started out with nursing and after a day as a nurse in the mock hospital I realized that nursing wasn't for me. It still wanted to be in healthcare, but I wanted a leadership role that was not hands on with patients. Shortly after I changed my major to Health Services Management and really enjoyed my classes and knew that this is what I wanted to stick with. Overall, I think Health Services management is a great major and there are many opportunities in this field.
