Going to a job fair or have an interview coming up? Are you in need of professional business clothing?
Well, the Center for Basic Needs at the University of Tennessee has a space for you. Located on the third floor of the Student Union, in Suite 376C, is Smokey's Closet. They provide free, gently used professional business clothing to all UT students and faculty. Stop by and shop and one of the team members there will be happy to help you. Their team is there to help you with guiding your style, sizing, and measurements, and support other challenges when shopping. All you need to do is come to the office, sign in on the iPad, find the perfect outfit, and you're all set for your next event.
They are open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 6 pm. On Sunday they are open from noon to 4 pm.
They are currently accepting donations, as they are participating in the SEC Food Fight. This is a competition between all of the SEC universities in the nation, to see who can get the most donations from their school. Last year they got around 30,000 points and placed 2nd. This year their goal is to get 50,000 points and place first overall.
If you want to donate and would like to know what their high-priority items are you can reach out to their office at basicneeds@utk.edu.
