Studying paleoclimatology through the analysis of lipid biomarkers in high-latitude lakes. Analyzing branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers (brGDGTs) and δ2H of plant waxes from lake sediments as paleo temperature and precipitation proxies. Currently focusing on the comparison of the Younger-Dryas Holocene transition to present day warming conditions in both Arctic regions and the northeastern United States.

Honors Thesis: A study of anthropogenic impact on the sedimentation of Conesus Lake, a western New York Finger Lake
Studied the anthropogenic impact of Conesus Lake since European colonization through the analysis of lake sediment cores. Analyzed the X-ray Fluorescence, magnetic susceptibility, loss on ignition, and diatoms from the sediment cores.
