I'm Kai (they/them), a philosopher and social worker at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
In the Department of Philosophy, I am a student in the PhD program and I teach undergraduate courses. I am currently working on several theoretical and practical projects related to standpoint theories.
In the School of Social Work, I am a student in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program completing a clinical specialization. Additionally, I am currently the Program Design and Community Education Manager at Trans-Wa, a trans-led organization which advances health equity and justice for gender-expansive people across Washington State by eliminating barriers to self-determination, building gender-expansive community and capacity, and driving institutional and systemic change.
