A conference in honor of
Kai Cieliebak
Augsburg, August 24-28, 2026
We are organizing a 5-day international conference on Symplectic Topology. It will bring together the world's leading experts as well as young promising researchers. The meeting will provide a platform to discuss the latest developments in the fields identifying major remaining challenges, and thus become an important reference point for further research.
We use this opportunity to celebrate the work of Kai Cieliebak in Symplectic Topology. Kai contributed to so many major breakthroughs in the field (from uncovering flexibility phenomena for Stein manifolds, to constructing Rabinowitz Floer Homology, and studying Lagrangian embeddings, just to name a few) and built solid connections to other areas of mathematics such as string topology, and atomic and celestial mechanics.
