Dr Kai Xu is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Engineering at King’s College London, UK. His research focuses on ultra-low-power CMOS integrated circuits (IC) and systems for wireless communication, and emerging applications (medical implants, AI-assisted RF systems). Kai received his MSc and PhD degrees in Electronic Engineering from Peking University, China and University College Dublin, Ireland in 2015 and 2020, respectively. Prior to joining King’s, he held academic or research positions at University College Dublin, IMEC, University of Macau, Harvard University and Ghent University. He has authored/co-authored over 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Kai is a recipient of the Flanders DUO Fellowship 2013 and the IEEE SSCS STGA Award 2018. Dr Xu is a Member of IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS). He has served as Guest Editors, regular reviewers for more than 10 international journals and transactions, including IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, IEEE Solid-State Circuits Letters, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers, and IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Part II: Express Briefs.
