Kura Ahurea is a cultural support kaupapa that offers a Te Ātiawa ki Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Taranaki Whānui perspective on local historical narratives, tikanga, and kawa. Each term, we are provided with a pūrākau that connects to various curriculum areas, deepening our connection to the whenua and making living in our area feel much more meaningful. A heartfelt mihi to Sharee and Moana, our pūkenga, for their ongoing awhi and support in this kaupapa.
The following slideshows have been created using ideas contributed by our kura. When copying them for your use, please refer to the 'Master Image Doc' for the images associated with each Pūrākau. We warmly encourage contributions—if you’d like to share your ideas, please reach out to your WSL or the ASL team.
