Handling Agreement 

We pledge to care for your dog, preparing and presenting it in the ring to shine. Our practices adhere to proper sanitation standards, and we provide daily nourishment and exercise. While we strive to ensure your pet's safety and well-being, we cannot assume responsibility for incidents such as injury, escape, theft, illness, death, or other losses. We retain the discretion to determine if veterinary services are needed, with any related expenses falling upon the owner.

• All trophies and prizes are the owner's property and can either be picked up at the kennel or shipped periodically. If owners wish to keep ribbons, they must notify handlers before the show.

• Lily Bennett will be presenting your dog in the ring. In case of a scheduling conflict, a qualified substitute will take over. Owners are responsible for confirming points with the AKC and agree not to hold handlers responsible for any discrepancies with AKC records.

• Social Media: You can stay updated with us on Facebook and Instagram via Kaen Kennels and Lily Bennett. At the close of each weekend, we'll publish a post on our page summarizing group placements, new champions, major wins, and points earned by our dogs. Ahead of the weekend's end, we'll also share BISS, group placements, and notable awards on our personal Facebook pages.

•  Should owners desire a "ribbon shot," we're happy to take the photo but will hold off on posting it until the weekend concludes on the main Facebook page mentioned earlier. 

• Owners have the option to share their photos on their personal pages if they wish to share their win before the weekend's end.

• All fees for services such as care, handling, boarding, and transportation will be invoiced either monthly or after each show weekend, as agreed upon beforehand. 

• Payment is expected upon receipt of the invoice. Any retainers will be deducted from the final bill. Bills not settled within 30 days will accrue a monthly interest of 1.5% (equivalent to 18% APR). Dogs will not be released until the outstanding balance is paid in full. We exclusively accept payments via check, wire transfer, Cash app, Venmo or PayPal. Please note for wire transfers from foreign countries, a $15.00 incoming wire charge will be applied to the total invoice amount.

• Before bringing their dogs into our care, owners must ensure that their pets are fully vaccinated, including Bordetella, and are receiving regular Heartworm and flea preventative treatment. 

• Owners are required to email copies of all veterinary records to handlers prior to drop-off. 

• They may choose to provide monthly Heartworm preventative medication themselves or have handlers administer it for a monthly fee.

Furthermore, while owners have the option to handle the entry process for each show, they assume full responsibility if entries are missed or submitted incorrectly.
