About Maths Circle

Mathematics is not just about formulas, calculations, or examination scores. It is a way of thinking, a language to express patterns, and a powerful tool to explore the world. To nurture this spirit, KAAS is proud to launch its Maths Circle from October 4, 2025, inspired by the Maths Circle initiative of ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru.

Objectives

Promote Joyful Learning: Make mathematics fun and engaging.
Develop Problem-Solving Skills: Tackle non-routine problems creatively.
Foster Mathematical Thinking: Focus on reasoning and creativity.
Build a Community: Collaborate and learn from peers.
Prepare for Higher Studies: Equip for Olympiads, entrance exams, and research.

Matchstick Puzzle: Using only 6 matchsticks, can you form 4 equilateral triangles?

Number Riddle: Find a two-digit number divisible by the sum of its digits.

Logical Challenge: You meet two people—one says, “We are both liars.” Who is telling the truth?

Geometric Exploration: A unit square inscribed in a circle, with another square rotated by 45°. What is the smaller square’s side length?
