DNA is the genetic "blueprint" that encodes all of the genes of a living organism. In eukaryotes, DNA is packed in the nucleus of a cell with a remarkably high density. The timely orchestration of organization, storage, and unpackaging of genetic information is crucial to human health. However, we are now just starting to reveal the spatiotemporal organization of the nucleus. K4DN (Korea 4D Nucleome) is a group of Korean scientists interested in the nuclear organization in space and time, and this workshop brings together prominent researchers from the fields of epigenomics, bioinformatics, biophysics, and cell biology to discuss recent advances in nucleome research from an interdisciplinary perspective. We anticipate that this workshop will lead to active discussions and collaborations among the relevant fields in Korea and abroad.
