Day 1
Welcoming the guests in the school building, artistic moment, visiting the school and the playground. Every country presented the material "Nature values and benefits". Students focused on the positive influence of nature on our health. „Escape room” – the students in groups looked for QR codes hidden in different parts of the building. The codes gave the access to the questions concerning general knowledge of the partners’ countries. After lunch the participants left for the nearby town to meet the Mayor, visit the Museum of Independence and walk in the park.
Day 2
Hiking trip in nearby hills and forests. During the trip students divided into groups to play an outdoor game. Along the trail the groups with their leaders collected envelopes with descriptions of activities to do, e.g. riddles to solve or challenges like archery. Finally, there was a bonfire and a meal. Afetr lunch all the groups met in the school for workshops: Healing nature. They worked on natural remedies for minor health problem. The final step was creating a brochure.
International Karaoke - each group sang songs in their native language.
Day 3
Guided tour in Cracow - visiting the „Royal Route” (the Wawel Castle, the Old Town, Main Square, Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Church). In the evening the guests and the hosts met at the hotel for cookery workshops. Students in mixed groups prepared salads according to the recipes. Common dinner for all the participants. EU Food Fair – Flavours of Poland – meals prepared by the parents beforehand and the salads prepared by the students.
Day 4
Meeting in the school for a lecture: „Eco Life = Healthy Life” prepared by the experts on the subject. The lecture focused on practical tips on how to lead an eco-friendly life as well as the connection of ecology and human’s health. International group work – students created posters to promote nature, its value in our life and tips on how to take care of the environment. Then, students gathered in the playground to play outdoor games. The hosts taught the guests to play Speedball. Students played a football match - Hosts vs Guests.
After lunch, the group left for Wieliczka to visit the Graduation Tower (which cleanses the respiratory tract and is recommended for allergy sufferers and people exposed to air pollution) and the Salt Mine.
Day 5
Visiting Zakopane – “winter capital” of Poland. All the participants went on a hiking guided trip in the lower parts of the Tatra Mountains. They tried local specialities e.g. mountain cheese.
Visiting the town of Zakopane. In the evening all the participants gathered at the hotel for a certificate ceremony, dinner and farewell party.
