Languages are an essential tool of communication and a source of new opportunities to equal all the citizens who live in a global world, promoting tolerance and respect towards other cultures and ways of life.
A modern world requires new methodologies and strategies to motivate students and to encourage them to continue studying, reducing their school leaving. Therefore, we need to foster the communicative approach of languages. This approach is closely linked to the fostering of the six skills: Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking, Artistic and Digital. Consequently, our learners need to practice the different skills, which will be achieved by means of exploring up-to-date topics such as our countries, tourism, literature and culture, ecological and healthy lifestyle, European citizenship and human rights.
