The league began with just 4 teams but has grown to over 15 teams and 200 members. We received our 501c3 tax exempt status in Feb 2025 and our looking for league sponsorships and donations. Please email us at ktownsoftball@gmail.com for more information.

KSL is an active member city in International Pride Softball (IPS) and the Amateur Sports Alliance of North America (ASANA).  Both iPride and ASANA are non-profit organizations dedicated to the promotion of amateur athletics with a special emphasis on the participation of members from the LGBTQIA+ community.

KSL offers two seasons of play: spring season and fall season.  Spring season normally runs from April to June with teams playing over 6 weeks of play.  There are five distinct classes or levels of play in our spring season: Open Upper Division, Open C Division, Open D Division, Open E Division, Women's C Division, and Women's D Division.  These divisions relate to the competitive level of play or the skill level of the competitors with the Upper Division being the most skilled and the E Division supporting more recreational levels of play.  Winners of the spring league from each division advance to the iPride Softball World Series and ASANA Softball World Series representing the KSL.

The Fall League traditionally begins at the beginning of October and concludes by mid-November with 6 weeks of play.  The Fall League is more relaxed environment and normally players of a variety of skill levels are mixed throughout the teams.  There are only two classes during the fall season: open division and women's division.
