Primary Puppy Program

Our Primary Puppy Program is a comprehensive 6 Week Training Program designed to give your 2-4 month old puppies the best possible start in life. Each week includes an approximately 1-hour session, focused on building strong foundations that support a confident, well-mannered, and emotionally balanced dog.

Throughout the program, we will work on,

-Confidence Building Exercises to help puppies navigate the world calmly and confidently.

-Proper Socialization and controlled exposure to new environments, people, dogs and situations.

-Leash Manners and polite walking skills.

-Basic Obedience and early Recall Foundations.

-Impulse Control and age-appropriate self-regulation.

-Settling Skills for calm behaviour at home and in public and at home.

-Basic Life Skills that support everyday success in your puppies daily life

-Desensitization to Grooming and Handling to reduce stress around care routines.

-Preventative Strategies to reduce the risk of common behavioural issues as your puppy grows.

This program focuses not just on cues, but on raising a confident, resilient puppy with the skills needed to thrive long-term.

This program is ideal for handlers seeking a confident, resilient puppy with strong social skills and reliable basic obedience.

Our Secondary Puppy Program is a highly recommended extension of our Primary Puppy Program. This program is designed for pups aged 5-7 months old, to take the strong foundation we've built in the Primary Puppy Program and develop it into real-world reliability, confidence, and polished manners for both dog and handler.

This program focuses on strengthening engagement and communication while building advanced, dependable obedience. Training includes leash manners, reliable recall, off-leash obedience, settling skills, impulse control, and healthy social skills. We also address proper manners in everyday situations and work through any challenges or behaviour issues that may have arisen since completing the Primary Puppy Program.

E-Collar training is introduced when appropriate to support clear communication and reliability at a distance. Any training tools used during this program are included in the total cost.

Sessions are approximately 1-hour each, with a minimum of 10 sessions, however, the program will continue as long as necessary to ensure success for both the dog and handler. Training takes place in a variety of environments to ensure complete reliability, including in-home sessions, public locations, pet friendly spaces and at the   K-9 Solutions Training Center location to ensure skills are reliable in real-life situations, not just in a controlled setting.

Our Customized Training Programs are thoughtfully thought out and designed to support both you and your dog in achieving long-lasting, dependable results. Every dog is different, which is why each program is individually tailored to your specific goals, lifestyle, and training needs.

Whether you are working toward dependable obedience both on and off-leash, or seeking professional support to address behavioural challenges such as reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, or other unwanted behaviours, our programs are structured to create clear communication, confidence, and consistency for both handler and dog.

Each program consists of a minimum of 10 private training sessions. However, we understand that meaningful progress does not follow a strict timeline. Training will continue for as long as necessary to ensure the desired results are achieved, without any additional cost. This approach allows us to work at a pace that is appropriate for both the dog and handler, ensuring understanding, reliability, and long-term success.

All training tools required throughout the program are included and introduced responsibly, with full guidance and education provided. Our focus is not only on training your dog, but on empowering you as the handler with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to maintain results well beyond the program.
