Kristina Yancey, M.Ed., Class of 2022
Student Leader
Before I came to the U of A College of Medicine - Phoenix as a medical student, I worked as a math & science teacher for several years. Working on this project has been a wonderful opportunity to revisit my passion for childhood education. When I'm not studying or working on this project, I'm spending time with my husband, daughter, and our new puppy. I hope you find this site useful and informative in preparing your children for the upcoming school year!
Merrion Dawson, Class of 2022
Volunteer Trainer
Hi, my name is Merrion Dawson and I am a third year medical student here at UA COMP. I have lived in Arizona for most of my life and studied public health at the UA Tucson. I volunteered for this program because I am currently living at home with my 60+ year old parents and really wanted to volunteer, but also wanted to keep them safe. This program was perfect for me because I could do all of the work from home, and I could help out families. I am not a parent, but many of my colleagues are and I can't imagine being in medical school, being a parent, and being a teacher all at once! I am looking forward to life getting back to normal, but for now I am just happy to help out!
Claire Grayson, Class of 2022
Volunteer
Claire Grayson is a 3rd year medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix. Claire’s childhood dream was to become a doctor or a teacher. By studying to become a pediatrician, she has found a way to do both! Her favorite subjects in school were math and science, especially biology. Claire’s favorite hobby is baking, where she sneaks an occasional snack to her giant dog Auggie.

Jordan Weinstein
Assistant Webmaster
Hi everyone, my name is Jordan and I am 24 years old. I graduated from ASU in 2018 and have been working in the Emergency Department at HonorHealth for the last 2 years. In my free time I enjoy volunteering, playing sports, working out and relaxing with friends. I am currently getting ready to apply to medical school this year and I’m super excited about this project we have been working on for the K-8 kids during this crazy time! Even though a lot of things are uncertain right now, I hope this project will give some families a sense of certainty and security about their children’s future education! Best wishes and stay safe everyone.
