Improving mobility

tool use in the early years

Elementary teachers and students want to embrace emerging mobile technologies to achieve the best possible outcomes for student learning. Priority often seems to be given to older students, leaving younger students waiting for their turn.

Presently there are obstacles in the way which prevent many from using these technologies effectively:

Teachers need training and time to learn to use the tools effectively.

Schools need to equip students with quality mobile learning tools.

Infrastructure for mobile connections needs improvement.

Schools need funding for teacher training, mobile learning tools, and better connections.

As an elementary teacher, I have hope for the future of mobile technologies in schools as the need for increased support is becoming more widely recognized by all stakeholders.
