LEGO ROBOTICS

Begin here to learn about the Lego kit and see the unit plans available.

Lessons increase in difficulty within each unit.  Each lesson has a suggested lesson plan and pdf of the build instruction for teachers.

Students will use the Spike app for their build.  The app can either be downloaded, or used as a web based app.  Click on the following link and use the image on the left to see how to access the web version of the app which does not require a download.

LESSON PLANS

Introduction tutorials:  Before beginning with the lesson plans, have students complete the Lego tutorials which show them how the components work.  This can be found here.

Below are the teaching units offered on the Lego Education site.  Two links have been provided in each section:

Note: For kindergarten students, it would be easier for the teacher to prepare the build and then allow students to code it in groups.

Note: The hub may require an update - check the hubs in advance of class as it takes approximately 10 minutes to update.
