Sahiba Kaur, born at ......., was an ordinary child. She was just like the many others. Child of an intercaste arranged marriage. A ....., young woman who was forced into an arranged marriage with a Sikh, ......... She learned from a very young age, the reality of everyday brown families.
Now when I say “brown families”, I do not mean to generalize all Indian families into one norm. All Indians have their differences which make them, them. Yet often one can see from quite a distance, the present culture is to marry a woman off young and leave “men” to be the breadwinners.
Turn a blind eye to abuse, as if it’s non-existent for anyone and everyone, to then continue on with the casual brown thing, which in my opinion, is to gossip and party. Something all Punjabi’s like to do, myself included.
Now picture this : a lousy female, ........ Often this female would drop Sahiba, whether it was down the stairs or randomly, accidentally or intentionally. The many adults in the house did not care for the females ........ As within their mindset, women deserve less than men. Men are above all, maybe even God. To them, ego came before
