Active Brownian particle model simulations - Particles forming self-organized patterns (Left) and accumulation near the box corners (Right)
We do numerical simulations (in Julia) of 2D active Brownian particles in open and closed boundaries . Considering only steric interactions among the particles, we captured experiments like curvature-induced particle steering. Moreover, incorporating various interaction potentials and no confinement, we observed phenomena such as cluster formation and flocking. These dynamics depend on experimentally adjustable parameters, such as particle velocity, size, and packing fraction.
