Jonathan Williams began studying piano and voice at age 7. He continued to study music, adding various instruments along the way, and eventually earned his Bachelor's of Science in Music Composition with a minor in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA. He works as a full-time software engineer and part-time musician.Jonathan has taught private music lessons in piano, guitar, voice, bass guitar, ukulele, mandolin, saxophone, flute, and music theory at various institutions in California, Ohio, and online since 2011. He loves teaching music to both children and adults and strives to keep his students engaged and motivated. In addition to teaching, Jonathan conducts, composes, transcribes, and performs. His various musical endeavors have allowed him to perform at the 2008 Beijing Olympics kickoff, Sunday noon mass in Vatican City, Notre Dame Cathedral, Carnegie Hall, and numerous other venues and events both domestically and abroad. His most recent large endeavor as composer/arranger for Coming Home, an opera produced by Stulz Opera, came to fruition in August 2022. His most recent international tour brought him to sing at the Musikverein in Vienna, Austria in August 2024.
