Career Goal Narrative 

I have decided to pursue engineering. I chose this because every weekend my family went to my grandparents house. Everybody in my family came to the event, Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. At one of these family events when I was eight I heard my Uncle John talking about his job to my Uncle Danny. I asked them what they were talking about and my uncle told me about his engineering job and it interested me. I chose to pursue this career at the age of fourteen

  My math classes and my AteX classes have helped me develop a fondness for engineering. When I was done with my production engineering class all I wanted to do is build and fix things around my house. I'm taking math classes while also taking different classes such as Engineering and CADD. I have learned how to use machines such as The Drill Press, The Band saw, and multiple types of sanders and CNC Machines.

 I play lacrosse and go to Scrimmages and Conditionings. These events have taught me leadership skills and how to work effectively as a team to accomplish a like-minded goal. My grandpa likes to make things with woodworking machines and he taught me how to do the basics of Production engineering.  I have never been Officially employed before but I am hopeful and eager to start my first job

  I will go straight to college so I can learn more about engineering. I have attempted to go the Navy route, but my mother would not let me because my dad got deployed a lot and was gone for a minimum of six months at a time. She doesn't want me to get deployed. I will Attend a four-year college or university. I will do this because I need to get multiple degrees so I can be an effective engineer.  I will work as an apprentice on the navy base for my first job so I can Segway my apprenticeship into a career job. I will go Straight into the workforce while attending college so I can make money while learning to become an engineer. 

I will add to the engineering community by icing things for people and working on the navy jet engines at the navy base. I will probably just be another civilian still. I don't think I will have a giant impact on the world. I don't think I will make a difference in the world. I just want to have successful life so I can live up to all the other great people in my family
