If you want a complete, long-lasting wireless audio solution that handles sweat and offers deep bass without needing extra accessories, choose JVC HAA4TB; if you need a specialized upgrade to secure your existing Sony earbuds for glasses wearers or intense workouts, choose COMPLY TrueGrip MAX Memory.
• JVC HAA4TB: The biggest strength is its all-in-one package with 30 hours of battery life and active noise cancellation, but the trade-off is a standard plastic design that may not suit everyone's ear canal shape out of the box. This pick is for the user who needs a standalone pair of earbuds ready for any activity.
• COMPLY TrueGrip MAX Memory: The standout feature is the patented SmartSkin Technology that creates a custom, moldable seal for superior stability, yet the major limitation is that it only works as an accessory for specific Sony models. This pick is for the owner of compatible Sony headphones who struggles with fit or wants better noise isolation.
The JVC HAA4TB True Wireless Earbuds are designed for people who want a robust, self-contained listening experience right out of the case. At the heart of this device is a 12mm diameter diaphragm driver unit, which is substantial enough to deliver the rich, dynamic sound profile JVC is known for. Whether you are diving into music, watching a TV series, or playing video games, the 16-ohm impedance and frequency response ranging from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz ensure you get clear highs and punchy lows without needing external equalizers.
For those who live a busy life on the go, the battery performance is a game-changer. You can play up to 30 hours of content on a single charge cycle, which is more than enough for a week of commuting or a long international flight. Even when you are running low, the fast-charge capability kicks in quickly; just 10 minutes of charging provides 75 minutes of playback time. This makes the JVC HAA4TB ideal for sprinters or anyone who frequently forgets to plug in their devices overnight. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.1 technology ensures a stable connection within a 10-meter range, reducing dropouts during movement.
However, this product is not for everyone. While it features Active Noise Cancellation and touch controls, the physical design relies on standard bud-shaped earpieces made of plastic. If you have sensitive ears or struggle to find a secure seal with traditional silicone tips, these might slip during vigorous activity. Additionally, while they are IPX4 waterproof, meaning they resist sweat and light rain, they are not submersible. If you are a heavy sweater looking for sweat resistant bluetooth earbuds for glasses wearers who also demand a perfect, custom-molded fit, you might find the stock tips insufficient compared to memory foam alternatives. But for the majority of users seeking a reliable, high-capacity headset, the JVC HAA4TB stands as a solid, no-nonsense choice.

The COMPLY TrueGrip MAX Memory Foam Ear Tips are not a standalone audio device; they are a precision-engineered upgrade specifically for owners of select Sony true wireless earbuds. These include popular models like the WF-1000XM6, WF-1000XM5, WF-1000XM4, and several others in the INZONE and LinkBuds series. The primary function here is to transform the fit and feel of your existing hardware. Instead of relying on the rigid plastic or standard silicone tips provided by the manufacturer, you replace them with soft, slow-recovery memory foam that molds to the unique contours of your ear canal.
What sets the MAX version apart from other foam tips is the patented SmartSkin Technology. This innovation enhances durability and moisture resistance, making the tips easier to clean and less prone to degrading over time. For glasses wearers, this is often a critical feature. The arms of eyeglasses can push standard earbuds out of the ear, breaking the seal and causing sound leakage. The Comply tips compress before insertion and then expand slowly, creating a tight, adaptive seal that holds the earbud firmly in place even when your glasses frames are pressing against them. This results in immersive noise isolation, blocking out outside distractions so you can focus entirely on your audio.
The trade-off is compatibility. You cannot buy these tips to use with non-Sony earbuds, nor do they provide any new drivers or battery life. They are purely a fit enhancement. If you already own a pair of Sony buds that sit loosely in your ears or cause fatigue after an hour, these tips solve that problem immediately. They are designed for everyday listening, workouts, commuting, and travel, ensuring that your audio gear stays put. However, they require a bit of maintenance; you must gently clean them with warm water and a soft cloth, avoiding alcohol-based cleaners that could damage the material. If you are looking for a clip on earbuds for glasses wearers or a way to make your current Sony setup feel custom-fitted, this is the definitive solution.

After analyzing the specs and intended use cases, I would choose the JVC HAA4TB if I needed a brand-new pair of earbuds that could handle a full day of work, exercise, and entertainment without interruption. The combination of 30 hours of battery life, active noise cancellation, and versatile sound modes makes it a powerhouse for general users. However, if I were already invested in the Sony ecosystem and found myself constantly adjusting my earbuds due to my glasses slipping them loose, I would opt for the COMPLY TrueGrip MAX Memory. In my opinion, for glasses wearers, the COMPLY tips are the superior choice because they solve the specific mechanical issue of retention that standard tips simply cannot address. If you need a complete system, go JVC; if you need a perfect seal for your current Sony buds, go COMPLY.
The JVC HAA4TB has a standard bud design that some glasses wearers may find comfortable, but it lacks the adaptive grip of memory foam. The COMPLY TrueGrip MAX Memory is explicitly designed to help glasses wearers by molding to the ear and preventing the glasses arms from pushing the buds out.
No, the COMPLY TrueGrip MAX Memory is strictly compatible with select Sony true wireless devices, such as the WF-1000XM series and INZONE Buds. They will not fit JVC or other non-Sony brands.
The JVC HAA4TB offers up to 30 hours of total playback time on a single charge cycle, making it a standalone long-life solution. The COMPLY tips do not have a battery since they are passive accessories that replace the tips on your existing earbuds.
Yes, you can gently clean them with warm water and a soft cloth. You should avoid alcohol-based cleaners or lotions, as these can degrade the SmartSkin material used in the TrueGrip MAX line.
