If you want a secure, sport-oriented fit with selectable sound modes, choose JVC Fitness Series HAEC25TB; if you need active noise cancellation and voice-assistant features, choose Samsung Galaxy Buds 3. For work from home, the Samsung’s noise control is the more relevant distinction, while the JVC makes a stronger case for movement and battery-life flexibility.
• JVC Fitness Series HAEC25TB: A hook-style fit, three sound modes, and up to 30 hours of battery life; its main trade-off is that it has no noise control.
• Samsung Galaxy Buds 3: Active noise cancellation, voice controls, and support for Bixby and Gemini; its main trade-off is the lack of a sport hook or selectable sound modes in the listed features.
• Fit: JVC is the more sport-focused design; Samsung is the stronger fit for someone who wants noise cancellation and hands-free assistant access.
• Sound options: JVC offers normal, bass, and clear modes; Samsung’s listed strengths emphasize noise cancellation and calls rather than multiple listening modes.
• Choose JVC if a secure fit and the option to hear surrounding sound matter most; choose Samsung if reducing outside noise is your priority.
The JVC Fitness Series HAEC25TB is built around a secure, lightweight design. Its soft-material hook is intended to help keep each earbud in place, which makes it a sensible option for workouts or other situations where ordinary in-ear earbuds may feel less reassuring. It is still a true wireless, in-ear model, but the hook gives it a distinctly sport-oriented profile.
Its listed battery life is up to 30 hours with the built-in battery and included charging case. That figure is useful if you prefer fewer charging interruptions over the course of a busy week, though the sheet does not specify how that total is divided between the earbuds and case. JVC also gives you three listening modes—normal, bass, and clear—so you can choose among those sound profiles rather than being limited to a single preset. Touch controls include volume adjustment, and the earbuds are compatible with voice assistants.
A notable extra is the included open-type piece, which is described as allowing you to hear surrounding sound. That can suit a walk or workout when you want more environmental awareness. The listed noise control is “None,” however, so these are not the pick for someone trying to reduce household sounds during focused work. The listed Bluetooth version is 5.1, and the design includes IPX5 water resistance, making the JVC a practical match for active use where water resistance matters.
How We Research

Who should skip it: Skip the JVC if active noise cancellation is a must-have for your home office.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3, identified in the product information as Galaxy Buds3 FE, are the more work-focused choice on paper. Their key distinguishing feature is active noise cancellation. For someone working near household activity or other everyday distractions, that feature gives the Samsung a clear advantage over the JVC, which lists no noise control. The product information also describes the earbuds as in-ear, with a silicone enclosure material.
Samsung includes voice-control features and names both Bixby and Gemini in its feature details. That makes hands-free assistant access part of the appeal for someone who wants to interact with a voice assistant without reaching for a phone. The listed call feature emphasizes clear calls, though the available information does not provide microphone specifications or a measured call-quality result. The earbuds also include a translator feature, which may be useful to people who expect to use that capability; the supplied details do not explain its operating requirements or supported languages.
The listed battery average life is 30 hours, and the connection is wireless Bluetooth using version 5.4. Those figures put it in the same broad battery-life range as the JVC’s stated up-to-30-hour total, but the descriptions are not identical: JVC explicitly includes its charging case in the figure, while Samsung’s sheet gives an average-life figure without the same breakdown. Samsung’s listed features do not include a sport hook, selectable bass or clear modes, or a water-resistance rating. That does not establish how the earbuds perform in those areas; it means those advantages are not documented here.
Who should skip it: Skip the Samsung if a hook-style sports fit or a clearly listed water-resistance rating is central to your decision.
• Best for a secure sport-oriented fit → JVC Fitness Series HAEC25TB. Its soft-material hook is specifically intended to help stabilize the fit.
• Best for work from home noise control → Samsung Galaxy Buds 3. Active noise cancellation is the clearest difference when you want to reduce surrounding noise.
• Best for choosing between sound profiles → JVC Fitness Series HAEC25TB. Its normal, bass, and clear modes give you three listed options.
• Best for hands-free assistant features → Samsung Galaxy Buds 3. The feature details name Bixby and Gemini, alongside voice control.
• Best for hearing more of your surroundings → JVC Fitness Series HAEC25TB. Its included open-type piece is described as allowing surrounding sound through.
• Best for documented water resistance → JVC Fitness Series HAEC25TB. It lists IPX5 water resistance; the Samsung sheet does not provide a water-resistance rating.
• Best for a newer listed Bluetooth version → Samsung Galaxy Buds 3. Its Bluetooth version is 5.4, compared with 5.1 for the JVC.
• Best for kids headphones for work from home → It depends on the specific need. JVC’s hook and open-type piece may appeal when fit security and awareness matter; Samsung’s active noise cancellation may be more useful when reducing noise is the priority. The listed information does not establish child-specific sizing or suitability.
Buying Considerations
Think about movement, too. JVC’s hook is a concrete advantage for workouts and active days, while its IPX5 rating provides documented water resistance. Samsung’s supplied details do not state a comparable hook design or water-resistance rating. That absence is not proof that it cannot be used during activity, but it leaves less specific information to rely on for that use.
Sound preferences may settle the choice. JVC makes its options explicit with normal, bass, and clear modes. Samsung’s differentiators instead include noise cancellation, voice controls, and assistant features. If you are searching for the best spatial audio bluetooth headset for work from home, neither product’s supplied details specify spatial audio, so that feature should not be assumed for either one.
Finally, compare battery claims carefully. Both descriptions point to roughly 30 hours, but JVC states up to 30 hours including the charging case, while Samsung gives a 30-hour average-life figure. The sheets do not offer a matching breakdown of listening time per charge, so the totals alone do not establish which one lasts longer in a particular workday. If the current price will affect your decision, check the current price on Amazon using the page’s button rather than relying on an amount in this comparison.
I would choose the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 for work from home because active noise cancellation addresses a common distraction more directly than the JVC’s sport-focused features.
I would choose the JVC instead for exercise, a hook-secured fit, or a preference for three sound modes and an open-type listening option.
For my own work-from-home priorities, Samsung’s noise control and hands-free assistant features carry more weight.
Samsung is the more direct fit if you want active noise cancellation to help reduce surrounding noise. JVC has no listed noise control, but its open-type piece can suit someone who wants to hear more of the environment.
Which earbuds have the longer battery life?
Yes. The JVC lists IPX5 water resistance. The supplied Samsung information does not state a water-resistance rating, so there is no like-for-like rating to compare.
Spatial audio is not listed in the supplied information for either model. If that feature is essential, confirm it in the product details before choosing between them.
