I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Sabah Branch. My educational journey began at Kingsbury Primary School in Melbourne, Australia (2011–2015), followed by completing my secondary education at Sekolah Menengah St. Francis Convent. I later advanced my studies with a Diploma in Tourism Management at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Sabah Branch, before continuing towards my degree.
I am the eldest of six siblings. My father, Yuzainy Bin Janin, is a lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, while my mother, Lorna Hermindah Masrul, is a teacher at Sekolah Rendah Likas. Among my siblings, I have a brother with autism who is non-verbal, meaning he communicates differently from most people. I dedicate myself to supporting him in every way I can, and through this, I have learned patience, empathy, and resilience.
I share a very close bond with my family, who remain the foundation of my strength and growth each day. Their unwavering support has shaped who I am today, and without them, I would not have come this far.
I started my journey on TikTok in 2020 as an entertainment influencer, creating K-Pop content that reached hundreds of thousands of views. Over time, I expanded my focus and joined TikTok’s affiliate program, where I have grown into a successful affiliate. I have gained 4.7 million views and 2.5 million likes within Tiktok and this proves how dedicated I am in content creating in Social Media. I have also collaborated with multiple brands, further strengthening my image and presence as an influencer.
These are all the things I have achieved so far during my academic and work life.
My academic journey has been a balance of learning, leadership, and active participation. During my primary years in Australia, I was selected as a Young Junior School Council member, where I contributed to discussions and planning for school events. In high school, I maintained steady academic performance while also excelling in co-curricular activities, particularly as a netball player, representing both my school and the Kota Kinabalu area. Advancing to university, I pursued Tourism Management and became actively involved in leadership and student programs, serving as a Pemimpin Mahasiswa (PMDS) during orientation week, participating in MPP initiatives, and engaging in various faculty and inter-state events. I also gained valuable public-speaking experience as an emcee at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), which strengthened my confidence and communication skills.
Now as for my work journey. Thanks to the internship program offered by Universiti Teknologi MARA, I was able to gain real-world experience during my final semester at the age of 20. I completed a six-month internship with Dynamic Tours Travel in Damai, Kota Kinabalu, where I developed essential professional skills, including hands-on industry knowledge and critical thinking abilities.
Beyond academics, I have also established myself as a UGC creator since early August 2024. What began as a small step has grown into continuous brand collaborations, working with well-known names such as El-Formula, Skintific, and Glad2Glow. My content has also attracted international recognition, leading to partnerships with global brands like SomeByMi, Numbuzin, and Rom&nd, who value the creativity and unique editing style of my work.
Another part I would like to showcase in my Academic Journey is that I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's Degree of Tourism Management in Universiti Teknologi MARA. I am also selected as one of the highest school council's (Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar) representing my faculty and the whole University itself for outside connections and programs. My role in my student council is holding the Exco, Multimedia, ICT and Publisiti, with this role, I am able to be exposed more into poster editing, professional content making and anything that go to do with designs will be determined by me. I have done programs within my University which also exposes me to how Event Management is conducted. I am confident that my interaction and communication skill's are top tier as I have a very open personality that will fit in anyone that I meet.
I am also a student who is dedicated in my studies, being a Deans List student, two times in a row and holding a GPA of 3.8 and 3.79 pointer. I strongly believe other than gaining hands on experience. It is important to be educated and understand today's trend to excecute any work the that im doing. Whether that be my social media or my hands on experience. It is very relevant to stay knowledgeble in every sector. When it comes to my UGC contents, I will always study the brand I will collaborate it and create the suitable content for it.
I was given the oppurtunity to become one of the student council. It was such a brand new experience for me at the time. I have learned so much about coperate life along ahead.
This internship program during my Diploma days within Dynamic Tours Travel Agency, gave me the exposure on the working world. I have been given hands on experience and knowledge from staff members to handle the different kind of work sectors. Especially in Marketing and Human Resource.
My Degree in tourism encourages the students to be outgoing and make new experiences in tourism. It is to practice us in handling and enhancing our communication skills. I got to experience talking to the performers of Borneo Cultural Village.
What an experience !
I am very active in volunteer work that has been given by the University. I truly believe that UiTM students will always show their dedication in volunteer work with the thought of always helping as it is in our nature to do so.
This is one of my best memories. I am able to join my first competition in Innovation and won 3rd place with my team and my beloved Supervisor, Madam Adrianna Aziz. Thank you for the experience. I have learned a-lot in contributing within sustainability.
A special guest is truly an honoured title. I was invited to talk about how I became a PMDS (Pemimpin Minggu Destini Siswa). I have became it 3 times in a row and have been given the oppurtunity to guide the new students who just got into University.
