JustScreengrab Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

JustScreengrab is a Chrome extension that captures, edits, and exports

screenshots of web pages. This policy explains what data it does - and

does not - handle.

Summary

JustScreengrab does not collect, store on a server, transmit, or sell any

personal data. Everything it does happens locally, inside your own browser.

What the extension accesses, and why

- The page you're currently viewing: only when you click the extension

icon, use the keyboard shortcut, or choose to capture a screenshot.

JustScreengrab does not run in the background and does not monitor

  your browsing.

- Screenshot images: captured screenshots are held temporarily in your

browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) so they can be opened in

the editor tab. They stay on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.

- Clipboard: if you use the "Copy to Clipboard" button, the edited image

is written to your system clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere. This

only happens when you click that button.

What JustScreengrab does not do

- It does not use analytics or tracking scripts.

- It does not send any data to external servers.

- It does not sell or share data with third parties, because it does not

collect any data to begin with.

- It does not require an account, login, or any personal information.

Data use compliance

The use of information received from Google APIs by this extension adheres

to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use

requirements.

Changes to this policy

If JustScreengrab's data practices ever change, this page will be updated

and the extension's Chrome Web Store listing will note the change.
