# ThumbDeck Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 10, 2026

Last updated: August 11, 2026

j.o.g (the “Developer”) respects the privacy of users of the ThumbDeck Android application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, where it is stored, and when it may be shared.

## 1. What ThumbDeck does

ThumbDeck displays an assistive cursor and customizable control pads over other apps. When the user directly operates a pad, ThumbDeck can perform actions such as tap, long press, drag, text selection, copy, cut, paste, search, share, request a screenshot, and supported system actions.

ThumbDeck does not provide unattended macros, automatic repeated clicking, automatic or background screen capture, screen recording, remote control, or continuous keylogging. A screenshot is requested through the Android system only when the user directly operates a pad to which that action has been assigned.

## 2. Information stored on the device

The following information may be stored in the App's private storage to provide its features:

- Pad names, types, assigned actions, positions, sizes, rotations, and appearance settings

- Cursor type, size, effects, hotspot, and appearance settings

- Android content URIs for cursor or pad images explicitly selected by the user

- Package names or text-processing component identifiers for apps linked to pads by the user

- Search engine, display language, and other App settings

- Completion counters and last-display time used to limit interstitial ad frequency

ThumbDeck does not send this information to the Developer's servers. Users can delete locally stored information by clearing ThumbDeck's app data in Android settings or uninstalling the App. If Android backup or device transfer is enabled, some settings and database content may be included in the user's operating-system backup. Such backups are controlled by the user's Google account and Android backup settings.

## 3. Information processed by the Accessibility Service

ThumbDeck uses the Android Accessibility Service API to provide its core functionality. When enabled, the service may process the following information on the device:

- The package name of the app currently shown on screen

- Accessibility events such as window, focus, text, and text-selection changes

- Accessibility-node text, selection ranges, and editable state when needed for a text action directly requested by the user

- Node properties needed to identify password fields or security-sensitive screens

This information is used only to:

- Perform taps, long presses, drags, and text actions directly initiated from a ThumbDeck pad

- Request the Android system screenshot action directly assigned to and initiated from a ThumbDeck pad

- Apply pad settings associated with the app currently in use

- Adjust the interface, such as hiding pads while typing or showing selection tools

- Block risky text or fixed-coordinate actions on password, PIN, OTP, payment, financial, lock-screen, permission-approval, and app installation or removal confirmation screens

Selected text is processed temporarily in memory while a requested feature is performed. ThumbDeck does not write selected text to its database or files. Temporary selection state is cleared when the selection ends, the active app changes, or the service stops. Accessibility-node content, selected text, and app-usage history are not sent to the Developer's servers or to advertising providers.

The screenshot feature invokes Android's official global screenshot action. ThumbDeck does not receive, store, upload, or analyze the captured image or bitmap; Android handles the resulting file, preview, and sharing controls. ThumbDeck blocks this action on password, OTP, payment, financial, and permission-approval screens and does not bypass secure-window restrictions imposed by Android or the target app.

Users can disable the Accessibility Service at any time in Android settings. Disabling it prevents accessibility actions from working and may stop the running ThumbDeck overlay service.

## 4. Display over other apps and notifications

The “Display over other apps” permission is used to show the assistive cursor and small control pads over other apps. ThumbDeck does not use this permission to capture or record another app's screen.

When the user invokes the screenshot feature, the Accessibility Service requests Android's system screenshot action. ThumbDeck overlays are briefly hidden before the request, and the resulting image data is not provided to ThumbDeck.

Notification permission is used to provide an ongoing notification that lets the user see, hide, restore, or stop the active overlay service.

## 5. Installed-app information

ThumbDeck uses Android's limited package-visibility features so users can link app-launch and text-processing actions to pads. It may query:

- Apps with launcher activities

- Apps that support `ACTION_PROCESS_TEXT`

- Whether the ChatGPT app is installed

ThumbDeck does not request the `QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES` permission. Queried app names, icons, and package information are displayed in selection screens. If the user links an app to a pad, only the selected package name or component identifier is stored on the device. The installed-app list is not sent to the Developer or to Google advertising services and is not used for advertising or analytics.

## 6. Photos and custom images

When the user selects a cursor or pad image, ThumbDeck uses only the content URI returned by the Android Photo Picker. It does not request access to the entire photo library. Selected images are used only to render previews and overlays on the device and are not uploaded to the Developer's servers or to the Google Mobile Ads SDK.

## 7. Clipboard and information sent to external apps

When the user directly invokes copy, cut, or paste, selected text may be processed through Android accessibility actions or the system clipboard. Information placed on the clipboard may be handled by Android and other apps according to their own policies.

When the user directly invokes one of the following features, selected text or a user-written prompt may be sent through an Android Intent to an external app or service selected by the user:

- Web search

- Android Sharesheet

- An `ACTION_PROCESS_TEXT` text-processing app

- A linked app

- ChatGPT or another AI app

ThumbDeck requires an explicit user action before this transfer. After information is delivered to an external app, that app or service processes it under its own privacy policy. The Developer does not control the third party's processing. ThumbDeck does not send selected text to its own servers.

## 8. Google AdMob advertising

ThumbDeck distributions with advertising enabled use the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to provide banner, native, and limited interstitial ads within the ThumbDeck App. Ads are not shown in the cursor or control-pad overlays displayed over other apps.

For advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share:

- IP address, which may be used to estimate a device's general location

- App and ad interactions such as app launch, taps, and ad views

- App and SDK performance and diagnostic information

- Android advertising ID, app set ID, and other applicable device or account identifiers

Google states that data transmitted by the SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. Users can reset or delete the Android advertising ID in device settings. For more information, see the [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy), [How Google uses advertising technologies](https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads), and [Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure](https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure).

## 9. Advertising consent and privacy choices

ThumbDeck uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request advertising consent and manage privacy choices where required. When consent is required, Google's consent interface is displayed before the App requests ads. Where Google requires a privacy-options entry point, users can revisit their choices through **Ad privacy choices** in App settings.

Depending on the user's choices and applicable regional requirements, personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads may be served. Users may also delete their advertising ID or use advertising privacy controls provided by the operating system.

## 10. No ThumbDeck account, server, or separate analytics

ThumbDeck does not operate its own user-account system or server and does not integrate a separate app-analytics SDK. Therefore, there is no online ThumbDeck account to delete. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention as described above.

## 11. Retention and deletion

- App settings and pad data remain on the device until the user clears the App's data or uninstalls it.

- Selected text and accessibility-node information are processed in memory only while a requested action is performed and are not retained persistently.

- Operating-system backups are retained and deleted according to the user's Android and Google account backup settings.

- Advertising-related information is handled under Google's privacy and retention policies.

The Developer does not hold separate ThumbDeck account data. Privacy questions or requests concerning App behavior can be sent to **just.one.goal.studio@gmail.com**.

## 12. Security

ThumbDeck stores local settings in Android's private app storage and limits permissions and package visibility to the scope required for its features. The App is designed to block risky actions on sensitive screens and not to retain selected text. Information transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit as described by Google.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but the Developer maintains reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed by the App.

## 13. Children's privacy

ThumbDeck is not designed for children under 13. If the Developer learns that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected unintentionally, please contact the Developer so that appropriate action can be taken. Google Play target-audience and advertising settings will be configured for the actual intended audience.

## 14. User choices and rights

Users can control processing by:

- Disabling Accessibility, Display over other apps, or notification access in Android settings

- Revisiting ad privacy choices in App settings where the option is available

- Clearing ThumbDeck's app data or uninstalling the App

- Resetting or deleting the Android advertising ID

- Contacting the Developer with a privacy question or objection

Additional rights may apply under local law. Requests can be sent to **just.one.goal.studio@gmail.com**.

## 15. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the App's features, advertising providers, or information-handling practices change. The “Last updated” date above will be revised, and material changes may be communicated through the App, the public policy page, or the distribution page.
