I am a teacher and a researcher in Computer Science and Engineering, currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Guwahati, Assam, India. Previously, I have served at IIIT Kottayam, Kerala, and LNMIIT Jaipur in the same position.
I also have a keen interest in startups and am currently associated with EVXplorer, a TIH-IIT Patna incubated startup that works in the field of Electric Vehicles.
I earned my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering with the thesis titled 'Intelligent Scheduling Algorithms for Energy Optimization in Smart Grid', from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna in 2019, and moved to Aalborg University, Denmark, for a Postdoc. I have also worked at EMAX Group, Brussels, Belgium, a Greentech startup, as an IT Solution and Innovation Expert.
I completed my M. Tech degree in Systems Management from Devi Ahilya University, Indore, in 2014, and a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from Assam University, Silchar, in 2010. The final year of my M. Tech was spent at CSIR- Fourth Paradigm Institute (earlier CMMACS), Bangalore, where I did my thesis on 'Fully Homomorphic Encryption for secured High-Performance Computing'.
Current research interests include Scheduling and Optimization in Smart Grid, Electric Vehicles, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and AI for Cyber Physical Systems. Recently, I have started to explore Quantum Approximation Optimization Algorithms (QAOA).
I am always keen on discussing various problems in the domains of Computational Complexity theory, Game Theory, and Optimization.
I am an IEEE Senior Member. I am an Editorial Board member of the Nature Scientific Reports Journal.
