We warmly welcome you to Just My Nature. We are on the lookout for new as well as established voices to submit op-eds, poetry, short stories, graphics and audio visual content on the themes of women and environmental law with a touch of storytelling. Please see our submission guidelines below.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We currently welcome op-eds (short articles and opinion pieces), poetry, short stories, graphics, audio visual content;
Content should carry insights from social sciences and environmental law (If you need help with incorporating insights from social sciences or environmental law, you can reach out to our editors with your initial story pitch);
As of now, we accept submissions in English language. However, if you are interested in submitting articles in Sinhala or Tamil languages, please get in touch with our editors at justmynature.lk@gmail.com. We would love to see how we can collaborate with you!
Interested writers are advised to email their op-eds (short articles and opinion pieces), poetry, short stories, graphics, audio visual content to the editors at justmynature.lk@gmail.com including a short bio of the author (please include your publications, current research and links to your social media/websites).
FORMAT
We accept original, impactful and authentic content under the 500-600 word limit;
You are invited to incorporate pictures, illustrations, graphs, charts etc.
The document should be single-spaced, using the font style Times New Roman, in 12 pt size;
When citing sources relevant links should be incorporated into the quoted content. If a hyperlink is not available, citations should be made by way of footnotes at the bottom of the page;
Video stories submitted should be restricted to a time limit of 2 minutes with voice-overs where applicable;
The copyright of all the posts rests with Just My Nature;

EDITORIAL PROCESS
All selected contributors can opt to be mentored by our editors, prior to publishing his/her content, to enhance story-telling skills;
The editors may take up to 7 days to review your submission, and reserve the right to amend or not publish it;
We may edit your content to correct language/grammatical errors prior to publishing;
Any substantial changes made will be discussed with you as a part of our editorial mentorship process;
If you are simultaneously submitting the op-ed to another outlet, please state this when initially submitting it to Just My Nature, and notify the editors, as soon as possible, if you wish to remove your submission;
We have a zero-tolerance policy for misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism and plagiarism.
