Episodes 1~31 of The Justin Time Radio Show, English listening practice for pre-intermediate and higher learners. It's a great way to learn lots of useful new vocabulary and improve your English listening skills. Have a laugh with Justin and Ralph, telling funny stories and jokes. Start by downloading the listening activity, and the last file is the script so you can check your answers. The great adventure starts at the bottom of this page with episode 1, Homestay Guest, and evolves, but any order is okay. I recommend completing one per week, but you are free to choose.

31 Cave Dwellers - Justin and Ralph move into the cave house. Justin gets back in touch with nature in the garden. They discover a strange echo in the cave, and Ralph enjoys making fun of Justin. Activity Script

24 Old Dogs & New Tricks - Justin gets an e-mail from India about an old English saying. He gets a bit nostalgic and talks about his family. As usual, the only thing you can expect from Justin, is the unexpected! Activity Script

23 Bad Hair Day - Justin has a bad hair day with nothing going his way and Ralph is not very sympathetic. They have a caller from from Vietnam called Baby Doll. Song: One Cup of Coffee. He really does need it Activity Script

22 When it Rains - It pours! Justin gets back to Tokyo but has terrible jet lag and gets into all sorts of trouble. Ralph, his very advanced computer is developing sarcastic wit, and makes fun of him. Song: Keep On Moving Activity Script

21 What a Bargain - Justin gets back on the air after a bout of sickness. He talks about shopping in India and how to get a good price for things by bartering. As usual, the story takes a strange and funny turn. Activity Script

20 Taj Mahal - Justin and Ralph are on the road in India and get on the wrong train. They end up going south to Agra instead of north. Justin accepts his fate and goes with the flow, enjoying his visit to the Taj Mahal. Activity Script

19 Hot Stuff - Justin and Ralph, his very advance computer, have more adventures on the road. Justin tries to get a meal without chili in India. It turns out to be a difficult thing to achieve. Song: Sanskrit Activity Script

18 Later Alligator - Justin and Ralph, his very advanced computer, finally move into a hotel in Delhi. Unfortunately they find that they have a rather large lizard as a roommate. The hotel owner insists it is a friend. Song: Later Alligator Activity Script

17 Animal Farm - Traveling DJ Justin and Ralph, his very advanced computer, finally get to India. They are taken to a local guesthouse on a farm where, by amazing coincidence, they meet an old friend. Song: Subaha Dreams Activity Script

16 ESL Egyptian Stopover Luxury - An emergency landing in Cairo, a bed of roses. Traveling DJ Justin and Ralph, his very advanced computer, spend the night in a luxury hotel after their plane has to make an emergency landing. Song: Arabian Nights Activity Script

15 The Road to India - Justin and Ralph are on the road to India. Justin gets into trouble with his producer, Jerry, for bringing up the banana incident in the supermarket, episode 4 Bananas! Jerry sends Justin to India. Songs: Jazz It Up and I’m Going Down Activity Script

14 New Year Shopping - Ralph, the very advanced computer, worries about his platform. Justin goes shopping in the New Year sales and marvels how the role of the hunter-gatherer has changed over the ages. Songs: Oh Oh! Bananas Activity Script

13 Winter Freeze - Chilled vocabulary. Getting around in the freezing winter weather can be a challenge. DJ Justin talks about a time when he had a slow-motion experience. Ralph aboard. Expect the unexpected! Song: I’m Going Down Activity Script

12 Santa Clause Interview - A message to the world from Father Christmas himself. Santa pays an unexpected visit, and Justin does an exclusive interview with him. Santa has a special message for the world and reveals some of his chimney secrets. Activity Script

11 Little Red Riding - Little Red Riding, the new girl in the ‘hood? The classic folk tale with a funny twist at the end. Justin tells a short version of this famous folk tale, and Ralph gets the morals of the story totally wrong. Song: Little Red Riding Activity Script

10 Christmas Movie - RALPH is growing very fast in his new hardware and is discovering lots of new things. He has good taste, too, recommending a great Christmas movie with Jim Carey. Song: Turn On The Radio Activity Script

9 RALPH - RALPH the joke machine. DJ Justin gets a new computer and installs his hobby software, RALPH. The software begins to develop a sense of humor very quickly. Justin tries him out with some classic jokes. Song: Ilene Dover Activity Script

8 A Knight Tale - BBC? Are you joking? A telephone caller asks DJ Justin about the similarities between Japan and England. Justin explains why both countries choose to drive on the left side of the road. This is quite possibly true! Activity Script

7 Close Encounter - Bicycle fun and games! DJ Justin buys a new jacket, which leads to a rather dangerous and close encounter with a lamppost. How can this happen? Give it a listen and find out. Song: Oriental Beat. Activity Script

6 Green Genie - DJ Justin is asked to tell a typical British joke. It all takes place in the desert when someone finds a lamp. There are also lots of other jokes in this. You can find the explanations in the script. Song: Green Genie. Activity Script

5 Missed Flight - Catching a flight is always a stressful business for everybody. DJ Justin has a hard time at the airport as a very rude robot at check-in gets angry and won’t let him board the airplane. Funny twist at the end. Activity Script

4 Bananas - Laugh? You will! Jerry, Justin’s producer, gets into trouble over bananas at the local supermarket. Justin comes to the rescue but makes fun of Jerry. Jerry is not amused. Funny song kids love it. Song: Bananas! Activity Script

3 Captain Cook - DJ Justin Down Under in Australia tells a story about the origin of the word kangaroo, and other funny stories about Captain Cook’s adventures sailing around the seas of Australia. Activity Script

2 More Jingles - So bad, it’s good! DJ Justin on his travels in Cuba. He is not very happy as his producer tells him to add more jingles to his show. Dave, the engineer, comes up with some horrible ideas. Song: Viva La Musica! Activity Script

1 Homestay Guest - DJ Justin, on the road in Jamaica, has a very unusual guest from a long way away. He wants to homestay on Earth to study languages and culture but has some problems with his appearance. Song: Shining Light of Jamaica Activity Script
