I was fortunate enough to attend WWDC 2014 in person, the year that Swift was announced. Ever since then, I have wanted to develop native applications on Apple platforms, but my "real job" prevented me from dedicating enough time to really dig into native Apple development.

In early 2023, among thousands of other Salesforce employees, I was laid off. I decided to take this as the opportunity to finally devote real time to skilling up on the current state of Apple native development with Swift and SwiftUI. Since then, I've been preparing by taking online courses, reading API docs and blogs, watching WWDC videos, and, of course, writing apps.

While I still feel like there is so much more to learn, I've made tremendous progress learning Swift, SwiftUI,  and The Composable Architecture. Every day I wake up excited and energized to continue down this path, grateful to my family, and Salesforce, for their generous support that made this possible.
