The Justice for Palestine Campaign-LA is a gathering of social justice advocates who have come together to organize events and activities that promote a just peace in historical Palestine.
We stand in solidarity with all those who seek a just solution, including the right of Palestinian return, without exception, and the right of all lawful inhabitants to be granted full rights of citizenship and equality. As a group, we do not support any particular political party or organization.
We call for the immediate withdrawal of Israel’s military from all territories occupied since June 5, 1967 and the revocation of all legislation, regulations, directives and practices that apply differently to different populations living in those territories, including all impediments to passage within, between, and to all territories Israel controls.
We support UN Resolution 194 in its entirety and recognize the right of all refugees and exiles and their heirs to return to their homes in Israel and all territories occupied by Israel; to recover their properties, and to receive compensation for damage and/or dispossession of such property.
We concur with the growing international consensus designating Israel as an apartheid state. Further, we hold the US government accountable for Israel’s violation of Palestinian rights and flouting of international law, and demand that all military aid to Israel cease until it conforms to International law and UN resolutions on the rights of Palestinians.
2026 marks 78 years since the establishment of the Israeli state, what Palestinians call the Nakba (the catastrophe). Their homeland was dismembered, they were massacred (e.g. Deir Yassin, Tantura), over 400 of their villages were destroyed and over 750,000 (3/4 of their population) were forced to flee.
Following the October 7th Hamas attack on Israel, the violation of Palestinian human rights in Gaza escalated to a full blown genocidal war on the civilian population. (For updates on the humanitarian crisis see https://www.ochaopt.org/updates.)
At the same time, in the illegally occupied West Bank and illegally annexed East Jerusalem, both the Israeli occupation forces and illegal settlers have been engaging in a dramatic increase of lethal and destructive violence. In fact, 2024 was the deadliest year for Palestinians in the West Bank since records were initiated by the UN in 2005.
