I had the good fortune of finding Janice last year to help take care of my best friend of 50 years, who was afflicted with early Alzheimer's. Her husband could no longer care for her entirely by himself. When I introduced my friend to Janice, they instantly hit it off, and a lovely friendship formed between the two of them. I told Janice that I thought that finding her to care for my friend was a last gift I gave to her. While my friend no longer wanted the company of her own family and friends, she always responded to Janice, and looked forward to her visits. This also gave my friend's husband a much needed break so he could get out of the house, take a walk on the beach with their dog, and get some sunshine and fresh air.
