I am a member of the Uniting Church in Australia, where I am in the process of formation and training towards ordination as a Deacon.
I am a member of the South Perth Uniting Church congregation, where I serve as young adult pastor, council member, and co-coordinator of the monthly craft and boardgames group.
I believe in the core tenets of the Christian faith as outlined in the Apostolic and Nicene Creeds, and affirm the Basis of Union of the Uniting Church in Australia.
I enjoy thinking about the big questions in life, like where we've come from and where we're going, so I often end up wandering into realms where science, philosophy, theology and faith intersect. I am a member of the Institute for the Study of Christianity in an Age of Science and Technology (ISCAST), a network of academics, students, clergy, and people of all backgrounds exploring and engaging in conversations at the interface of science, technology and the Christian faith. I help out in the Perth chapter of ISCAST, and am happy to speak on this topic in schools, universities, churches or any public/social space.
Here is a talk I gave at the Perth ISCAST meeting on 04/07/2024 on "The Church and the Cosmos":
