I am an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Economics at Hosei University and currently a Visiting Scholar at the Japan Research Centre (JRC), SOAS University of London. I am also affiliated with the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) of the Cabinet Office, Government of Japan. I hold a Ph.D in Economics from the University of Tokyo. 

My areas of specialization are Public Economics, Family Economics, and Applied Econometrics. My research interests include household consumption and saving behavior, intergenerational transfers, tax avoidance and evasion, health, labor, and marriage and divorce.
