Hiking on the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve

Reserve Daily Entrance Fees will apply for all hiking trails.  2-12 $3.00;  13+ $4.00

Directions:

1. 1.   Take TWO 2 mile hikes with an adult on the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve on two separate days.

   2.   Check in at the Visitor Center on Clinton Keith Road.

   3.   Ask for a trail map (or use the link below to print a map before you arrive) and highlight your route with a colored marker or highlighter.

   4.   One of the hikes MUST be the Vernal Pool/Transpreserve Trail to the Adobes and back.

   5. For the second hike, select a different route and highlight it in a different color.

   6.   On the trails identify 3 habitats you hiked through with photos:

*GRASSLANDS 

 *WOODLANDS

 *CHAPARRAL

1. 7.   Ask either the adult who hiked with you or a volunteer at the Visitor Center to sign your map for each of your hikes.

   8.   Label the photos and describe the habitats (name the trail where photo was taken)
