Better Understand your Child

How to take your understanding with your children to a whole new level?

Understanding your child at preschool age is a pre-requisite for having a productive, flourishing and healthy relationship. That is why it is one of the most important aspects of good parenting.

Here we would like to share some of the important tips to help you deepen your understanding with your children even further so that you can evaluate what your child wants and how you can give your best as a parent.

1) Share to receive:

The first and foremost step is to encourage your child to share their feelings. The simplest and easiest way of doing this is by sharing your feelings with your child.

And while doing this, do not shy away from sharing negative feelings if you are feeling bad about something share it with your child.

This will automatically prompt them to share their feelings including negative ones which is a highly important aspect of understanding your child.

For this, you can ask them questions general questions like ask them what they played and did they find it interesting.

2) Observe the environment:

Next comes the environment around the child. After parents, it’s the people and conditions around the child that affect the child the most.

If the child is acting a little aggressive then there are good chances that he/she is coming across aggression frequently. This might be the fight at home, any aggressive friend or even the news channels of today that keep the blood pressure high throughout the debate.

It is on you to keep your child covered with positive emotions so that they grow with a positive attitude.

3) Give them time:

Here, quality matters way more than quantity. Even if you spend 10 minutes with your child, they should be completely dedicated to your child. Not on the phone, not on television just you and your child. Then only you would b able to understand the true person in your child.

These were some of the ways to increase the understanding between parents and their kids so that road to good parenting can be made smoother with lesser bumps, more fun happiness.
