No prior experience is necessary to join the board. All that's needed is a dedication to supporting our youth and community, as well as a desire to foster the growth of the playground. We convene monthly along with one annual session for voting on positions. Descriptions of the roles are provided below.
If you are interested in one of the positions or just interested in becoming a board member please complete our Interest Form.
The president will preside over all meetings of the members of this corporation and the Board of Directors. They will appoint committees as deemed necessary by the directors. As the chief executive officer, the President will oversee all corporate activities between board meetings, guided by the directors' instructions and the corporation's by-laws.
In the absence of the President, the Vice President will assume their duties. If both the President and Vice President are absent, the Treasurer will preside and fulfill the President's responsibilities.
The Secretary will maintain minutes of all member and board meetings and present them for approval at the end of each session. Additionally, they will arrange for the publication and posting of meeting notices and provide notification of director meetings via mail, in person, or by phone, as directed.
The Treasurer will manage all corporation receipts and funds, depositing them in the designated bank account and disbursing funds per the Board of Directors' orders or authorizations. They will maintain detailed records of financial transactions and provide itemized statements at regular member and board meetings.
Upon direction from the Board of Directors, the President and Secretary will jointly sign all leases, contracts, or other written instruments on behalf of the corporation.
