Located in Westdale, NY, the June Bray Memorial Playground endeavors to offer a safe haven for community youth, fostering laughter, learning, play, and personal growth. Established as a non-profit organization on January 3, 1973, we remain dedicated to this mission.
Our objective is to reconstruct the June Bray Memorial Playground. We aim to incorporate parking facilities and modernize the equipment. Our aspiration is to ensure that this playground stands the test of time, providing enjoyment for generations to come.
Our progress may not seem significant at first glance. Initially, we installed a Volleyball Court, which was heavily utilized until the onset of COVID-19, causing a temporary setback. Now, we're resuming our efforts from where we left off. Given the lack of use, the volleyball court requires some attention, and we're committed to restoring its appeal. In 2023, we removed playground equipment to address the presence of rotting trees posing safety concerns with branches breaking off. This removal creates space for a new parking area, enhancing accessibility for visitors. The installation of the parking area is scheduled to commence in Spring 2024. Stay tuned for further developments.

One of our main objectives is to incorporate a play structure akin to the one depicted in the image provided. The estimated cost for such a play unit is expected to be $50,000 or more.
