I designed an object that could be configured in multiple ways, like LEGO bricks or building blocks, while still feeling round and comfortable to hold. The color palette was inspired by both the physical interaction between the pieces and the way the colors played off each other. The gradient and marbling effects were intentional, highlighting the unique characteristics of wax as a material.  The way the pieces connect was inspired by the human spine and bones in general. I also incorporated basic configurations that emphasize the quality of having multiple connecting points. As a result, I was able to create a cohesive color palette with identical units that can interact seamlessly with each other.
