Felicity is a graduate from The Wilberforce School. Over the past seven years that she has done speech and debate, she has placed in the top five teams at more than 15 parliamentary debate tournaments on the state, regional, and national level. In that time, she has also accumulated 10 top five ranked speaker awards, 4 of which are for first place performances. As her team's co-captain and middle school assistant coach, Felicity has had experience leading a team, writing lectures, working individually with students, and judging debate rounds. This fall, she will be attending the University of Notre Dame as a Glynn Scholar. Felicity is excited to coach and lead Jumpstart Debate Camp for a third year!

Emmanuel is a graduate of The Wilberforce School and is now heading to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to pursue a bachelors in Data Science. Over the past seven years he has debated in more than 35 state, regional, and national parliamentary debate tournaments. He has ranked in the top five teams at more than 20 of them. He has ranked first and second place team and in the top ten speakers at all of his tournaments this year including a Top Place Speaker in the tristate area. He also has the league record for most finals appearances of anyone in High School Parliamentary Debate Program. Emmanuel has spent four years coaching high school and middle school debate, both in large group settings and groups of three or less. He has held research workshops at school and at home to help young debaters move from the basics to advanced techniques. He has experience in both leading teams and judging at numerous tournaments. Emmanuel is extremely excited to coach again at Jumpstart!

Abby is a rising Sophomore at the Wilberforce School where she has participated on the debate team for almost five years. Through her years in middle school and her first year of debating in high school, she has earned both top speaker awards and team awards. In the 2019 Middle School Parliamentary Debate Program's East Coast Championship Tournament, her team placed third overall.

Abby is also a “graduate” of Jumpstart Debate Camp and she can whole-heartedly say that it has given her an advantage in speaking and rhetoric, as well as debate as a whole. She is excited to continue working with Felicity and Emmanuel--this time as an intern--for another fun year of Jumpstart Debate.
