Just a little background: I've been really interested in protecting my home wifi connection for the longest time. Went as fast as dual booting my windows laptop alongside kali linux, but couldnt understand how to crack my home wifi (i thought it was too complicated), so i assumed it was safe. My thoughts were that no one would trouble themselves enough to be able to crack my wifi. Well it turns out i was wroong! My SOs 14 year old brother installed jumpstart/dumpper on his dell venue 8 pro tablet today, and easily cracked my wifi! Im shocked it was so easy too... no messing around with linux or anything! wtf!!! LOL So... my question is, what can i do to better protect my home wifi connection? I'm already running on wpa2, turned off wps, and my ssid/password are something completely random (not default). I use to hide the ssid, and activated mac filtering a while back, but it became too much of a pain to help friends connect let alone connect new home devices. Should i go back to that? What else can i do?
