Though it is highly likely that these are going to be the 9 additional DLC characters based on the information available, it is possible this is just a rumor. Until the characters are officially confirmed by Bandai Namco, take this information with a grain of salt.

Jump Force is a Japanese crossover fighting game developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment featuring characters from various manga series featured in Shueisha's Weekly Shnen Jump anthology in celebration of the magazine's 50th anniversary.[1] The game was released on February 14, 2019 in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and the following day worldwide in addition to Windows. A Nintendo Switch port was released worldwide on August 28, 2020. The game received mixed reviews from critics.

Jump Force is a 1-v-1 fighting game where the player controls a team of three characters from a selection of various manga series featured in the Weekly Shnen Jump magazine.[1] Players control one character at a time while the others are used as support, with players able to switch between them during battle. Combat functions similarly to the previous Jump fighting game, such as J-Stars Victory VS, Dragon Ball Xenoverse sub-series, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm sub-series and One Piece: Burning Blood, with players moving around a 3D space and utilizing various combos and special moves to attack their opponents. The match ends when one team depletes the other's health bar.

The game's launch roster features 40 playable characters from 16 series, with 14 additional characters available as downloadable content via Character Passes and three added as part of a free update for a total of 57 characters. In addition, players are allowed to create their own unique playable character, customizing them with abilities, outfits and accessories earned through gameplay.[4]

Jump Force was developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco.[38] The game is using Unreal Engine 4,[38] and was created in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Weekly Shnen Jump.[38] Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama designed the original characters created for the game.[32][39][40] Jump Force was announced at E3 2018 during Microsoft's press conference.[1][38] It was released on February 14, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Japan, and on February 15, 2019 in the west for the same platforms, as well as Windows.[41][42] A Nintendo Switch port was announced in April 2020. The Switch version, titled Jump Force Deluxe Edition, includes the downloadable content from the first Character Pass and was released worldwide on August 28, 2020.[26][43]

The lines that separate our world from the Jump worlds have been blurred, with evil forces spilling into the real world to rule over humanity. The greatest heroes of Shonen Jump including Goku, Luffy, Naruto, as well as many others to be announced, must join together to triumph over the forces of evil seeping in from the Jump worlds.

An aspiring Hunter, like his father before him, Gon is the main character of the Hunter x Hunter manga and anime adaptation. As an Enhancer, Gon contains the power to increase his strength with the help of external and internal forces.

A leaked ad for Jump Force confirmed two new characters who will be showing up in the game. With the game set to arrive this February and featuring a number of beloved characters from across several Shnen Jump universes, fans are still waiting to see if their favorite characters are going to make the cut. It now appears as if two more fighters have been leaked, allowing followers of each respective protagonist to take a sigh of relief.

The confirmation of these new Jump Force characters surfaced in a recent (and presumably premature) Instagram ad from Bandai Namco. Unfortunately, as the post was an ad on the social media site, it's not possible to link to the promotion in question - but that hasn't prevented fans from grabbing screenshots of the characters alongside other members of the roster like Goku and Naruto.

Admittedly, Jotaro appeared to be an obvious choice to include given the popularity of the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series. Add in the fact that he's often been the face of that franchise (the main character more or less shifts every season) and it's evident that he was always going to be the frontrunner for inclusion in Jump Force. Dai, on the other hand, was seen as far less likely, given the fact that Square Enix actually owns the Dragon Quest series. Even then, Dai was chosen because of his ties to Shnen Jump through Dragon Quest's Dai no Daibouken (better known in the west as The Adventure of Dai) manga and anime series. Overall, both are great additions to the roster - provided that these reports are true - and will likely make for the final two characters that ship with the game.

After each story mission, side quest, tutorial or any mode the requires battling your characters will gain experience and gain new levels. Leveling up is important in Jump Force especially during the story where the difficulty curve can get a bit ridiculous.

Complete the "Level 20 Limitbreaker" mission and your avatar and characters will be able to surpass their limits and continue growing and getting stronger. You'll definitely want to do this because the AI as you get further and further into the story can be ruthless.

Jump Force features an extensive roster of fighters from a variety of anime and manga, with 42 playable characters in total. Considering this, some players may be wondering how to unlock all of the fighters in the game, and as it turns out, it isn't all that difficult to do so.

The beginning of Jump Force's story mode sees players watching cut-scenes, completing tutorials, and interacting with some of the game's characters. This includes an objective where players have to talk to Goku, Luffy, and Naruto, who serve as the leaders in the game. After completing all of these tutorials, Jump Force's entire roster will unlock for the game's multiplayer modes. However, unlocking all of the characters for use in single player is a little trickier.

In Jump Force's single player story mode, players will have to continue playing to unlock new characters. Basically, characters will unlock at specific points in the story, so players won't be able to play as everyone right off the bat in single player.

It remains to be seen how fans will react to this approach. Some would prefer to unlock new characters by completing certain tasks in the game, like we saw with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which forced players to unlock the vast majority of its massive roster. Alternatively, those who are more into the competitive aspect of fighting games may prefer to have all the characters unlocked right away, as it makes more sense from that standpoint.

It's also worth mentioning that Jump Force will be adding more characters as DLC at some point in the future. Right now, the plan is for Jump Force to have nine DLC fighters, but the developers have been quiet about who could possibly be added to the game. There are quite a few possibilities, especially since some of the anime/manga only have one character representing them in the current game.

For those who love anime and video games, Jump Force combines everything fans love into one action-packed adventure. Jump Force recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and hosts dozens of Shonen Jump's best characters, including Goku from Dragon Ball Z and Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh!

Jump Force even has characters from My Hero Academia, including Katsuki Bakugo and All Might. MHA fans are definitely pleased to see some of its characters represented in a game like this, but with the number of notable characters featured in the series, fans would love if a few more MHA characters became playable in Jump Force.

Seeing him represented in Jump Force would make a lot of his fans incredibly happy, but most importantly, he offers a lot to those who enjoy playing as a powerful defensive type hero. Kirishima can stand up to Quirks like Bakugo's explosions, so he would offer a lot when going up against other Shonen Jump characters.

A game lacking female characters could definitely use someone like Uraraka. She's bubbly and kind, but she proves how determined she can be during her fight with Bakugo at the Sports Festival. She's one of the few characters who train in hand-to-hand combat, which is the type of skill players want to see in a fighting game.

Tsuyu is not just one of the best characters in this series, but also the most versatile one, which is useful in a fighting game. Her Frog Quirk makes her incredibly quick. She's also able to fight up close and from a distance. e24fc04721
