Julius Patrick 6th Grade Academy is dedicated to a partnership between our school, our students, our parents, and our community that supports students’ academic success and growth through student engagement. We share a proud commitment that fosters a positive culture for students and their emotional wellness that prepares them to be lifelong learners and productive citizens.
ELA Parent Resource: CommonLit’s Parent Access - The Louisiana Department of Education has partnered with CommonLit to create Knowledge Packs for teachers and to provide opportunities for parents to utilize their free, online library to support students in grades 3-12. School leaders and teachers should encourage parents to set up a free account so that they can create online classes, assign lessons, and review their child’s progress at home. To support parents, CommonLit has created a video tutorial that includes step-by-step instructions for creating an account and utilizing accessibility features, such as text read aloud and translations, to support the unique needs of each child. Please contact elaguidebooks@la.gov with questions.
Attention JP6 Parents: Next school year, the district is creating a virtual program in order to provide students the opportunity to learn virtually at home. To register, please visit the following link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EZmxwzntyS2Uf5X7MFvKks28E0GM4ssi/view
